This (the “Website”) and any related mobile application (collectively with the Website, the “Services”) are operated by Grit BJJ. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personally identifiable information and non-identifying information about you when you access or use the Services.

By accessing the Services or submitting your Personal Information (defined below) in order to receive the Services, you, on behalf of yourself and all of your authorized representatives (collectively, the “User” or “you”) agree to the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY Grit BJJ
(a) Collection of Personal Information
“Personal Information” means all personally-identifiable information (such as e.g., your name, physical address, e-mail address, home and mobile telephone numbers, or birth date) that you submit in connection with the Services. Grit BJJ does not collect Personal Information unless you voluntarily submit it in connection with your use of the Services, send inquiries to Grit BJJ, send inquiries to physicians located on the Website, or participate in certain activities available via the Services. Grit BJJ collects Personal Information when you choose to use certain features of the Services, including when you: (i) create an account for the Services; (ii) engage in certain activities available via the Services, such as uploading contents, videos, or photographs; or (iii) consent to receive commercial or promotional email, direct mail, or SMS/text messages about upcoming promotions or events.
(b) Information Gathered Automatically
Grit BJJ automatically collects certain non-identifying information about you (such as your movement about the Website or Services, the pages you visit most frequently, the type of browser or computer operating system you use, or the domain name of the website from which you link).
In addition, Grit BJJ may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices’ unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and the information about the way you use the Services.
Grit BJJ may collect other passive information using technologies such as standard server logs, cookies and clear GIFs (“Web Beacons”). Web Beacons are small pieces of information or data stored on your computer or mobile device that are used to determine your preferences and track your search terms and other behaviors or activities as you navigate around the Internet (collectively, “User Behavior”). Grit BJJ may collect, maintain, process and use a User’s location data, including the real-time geographic location of a User’s mobile device as necessary to provide the Services’ full functionality. By using or activating any location-based services on a mobile device, User agrees and consent to Grit BJJ’s collection, maintenance, publishing, processing and use of User’s location data to provide user with the Services. User may withdraw this consent at any time by turning off the location-based feature on a mobile device or by not using any location-based features. Turning off or not using these features may impact the functionality of the Service. Location data provided by the Service is for basic navigational purposes only and is not intended to be relied upon in situations where precise location information is needed or where erroneous, inaccurate or incomplete location data may lead to death, personal injury, property or environmental damage. Use of real time route guidance is at the User’s sole risk. Location data may not be accurate. Grit BJJ does not guaranty the availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness of information or location displayed by the Service.
(d) Your Content
Grit BJJ assumes no responsibility for securing any other content you submit via the Services. Grit BJJ has no obligation to use, or solicit or enable others to use any content you submit to us.
CHANGING OR REMOVING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATIONGrit BJJ will retain any Personal Information that you submit in connection with your account unless Grit BJJ deems such Personal Information to violate this Agreement or until such time as you decide to remove such Personal Information. You understand that deleted Personal Information may persist for a reasonable period of time in backup copies but will not be available to others.
Grit BJJ offers you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information. When you receive communications from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further communications from us and you will have the opportunity to "opt-out" by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the email you receive or by contacting us directly (please see contact information below). You may change any of the Personal Information in your Service profile by editing your information in your profile.
USE OR DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATIONGrit BJJ may use your Personal Information to contact you regarding the Services. Grit BJJ may also use your Personal Information to provide services requested by you and for internal research and marketing purposes. Grit BJJ may share your Personal Information and non-identifying information that Grit BJJ collects from you with our affiliated companies.
Grit BJJ may share your User Behavior on the Website with certain advertisers and such advertisers may respond to your User Behavior on the Website with advertisements or sponsored content.
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, Grit BJJ does not trade, rent, or share your Personal Information unless you ask or authorize us to do so. This includes not sharing your opt-in authorization for text/SMS communication with third parties, except as necessary to facilitate such communication through our designated service provider, Skipio, whom we have engaged to assist in sending text/SMS messages on our behalf. These service providers, including Skipio, are not authorized to share this information independently, except pursuant to a legal requirement such as a subpoena or warrant.
The Personal Information and non-identifying information Grit BJJ collects from you may be used as follows:
i. to personalize your experience and better respond to your individual needs;
ii. to improve the Services;
iii. to improve customer service;
iv. to administer contests, promotions, surveys or other features for the Services;
v. to send periodic mailings concerning information and updates pertaining to Grit BJJ; or
vi. to send special or promotional offers or discounts related to Grit BJJ or its affiliates and information related to products you have viewed via the Services.
If Grit BJJ or its assets are acquired by a third-party, that third-party will possess the Personal Information collected by Grit BJJ and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding User’s Personal Information as described in this Agreement. Additionally, Grit BJJ may disclose User’s Personal Information if Grit BJJ believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; or (b) to protect and defend the rights or property of Grit BJJ, other users of the Services or third parties. SECURITY
Grit BJJ uses reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard Personal Information in Grit BJJ’s possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification, provided, however, User acknowledges and agrees that no website, application or Internet transmission is completely secure. Accordingly, Grit BJJ cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur and cannot be held liable for any unauthorized access or use of the User’s data. User’s use of the Services is at User’s own risk.

Grit BJJ may permit certain third parties to link to the Services, and the Services may contain links to third-party sites. Grit BJJ is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of such third parties, including on such third parties’ websites. When linking to a third party website, you should read the privacy policy stated on that website. This Privacy Policy only governs Personal Information, non-identifying information and content collected in connection with the Services.
ADDITIONAL PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN
Grit BJJ’s Services are not directed toward anyone under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you may not create a user profile or register for the Services. If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child has submitted his or her Personal Information without your permission or consent, Grit BJJ will take reasonable steps to promptly remove that information from Grit BJJ’s database at your request.
